What is New Light
Leadership Coalition (NLLC)?
New Light Leadership Coalition, Inc. (NLLC) is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization governed by young people. NLLC
advocates leadership development and training for youth ages 16 to 25. NLLC is not a religious organization. We
believe that leadership development holds the keys to success
for our peers and the future of our community.
What does NLLC
do?
NLLC serves as a facilitator for the implementation of
solutions to problems facing young people. This includes
providing forums for youth to voice opinions about problems and
giving a framework for solution-oriented programs. NLLC
conducts leadership training workshops year-round and hosts the
Annual Youth & College Leadership
Summit every November.
How can I join
NLLC?
Youth members are the heart of our organization. Young people
from ages 16 - 25 are invited to join our organization. We also
welcome the membership of organizations that are run by young
people or have a strong youth component or division. Membership
in NLLC will allow you to delve into your personal leadership
potential and give you the opportunity to network with other
positive young people. Community members older than 25 are
encouraged to be affiliates of NLLC. Click here to fill out an online membership

I am not the
president of an organization, can I still join?
YES. NLLC is for young people who have formal leadership
positions and those who aspire to develop their personal
leadership potential. NLLC realizes that not all leaders are
presidents of organizations, and not all presidents of
organizations have perfected their leadership skills. We
provide an opportunity to be exposed to an environment where
everyone has the equal opportunity to lead and to follow.
