The organization currently works with six nursing homes, two senior centers and one homebound senior citizen in Brooklyn. Nadia currently manages over 40 volunteers and represents the T.V.H.F. as the CEO & Founder. She has been featured in publications such as the NY Daily News and College Bound Magazine. She has also been interviewed on radio stations such as XM Radio in Washington D.C and WBAI in New York. In 2002, Nadia was invited to the White House for a conference on volunteerism with John Bridgeland, the former head of Freedom Corps and White House staff. That same year, Nadia co-starred in a public service announcement that reached over 10,000 viewers in movie theaters nationwide and on cable television and was recognized as the 2002 Youth Leader of the Year by New Light Leadership Coalition, Inc. Nadia has also received several awards: The Fleet Youth Entrepreneur Award, The Spirit of Hope Award, The Shining Star Award and The Osborn Elliot Community Leadership Award. Nadia is not only a young woman with a not-for-profit organization, she is an college student, a poet, a dancer, a mentor, and an advocate for those who can not voice their own concerns.
