| F arajii R. Muhamamd is a young leader, student, and dynamic speaker from Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 19, Farajii co-founded New Light Leadership Coalition, Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to leadership development for young people. He currently serves as the President and spokesman for the youth-governed organization. Mr. Muhammad has 8 years of experience working with youth in the community and has served as the Youth Minister at the Nation of Islam's Muhammad Mosque Number Six in his hometown. |

A passion for voicing the concerns of youth have led him to many avenues including speaking at community events, presenting workshops at conferences across the country, and interning at Baltimore City Hall. Farajii hosted Makes Me Wanna Holla, a youth talk radio show on Baltimore's WBGR 860AM and appeared every Wednesday with "Reality Check" on DayBreak with Anthony McCarthy, the first ever morning news show on Morgan State University's WEAA 88.9FM in Baltimore. He is currently the host of Listen Up! with Farajii Muhammad, airing every Monday at 6:00pm on WEAA 88.9 FM. Listen Up! is about going behind the news and straight to the issues by dialoguing with local newsmakers and national headliners about politics, education, health, finance, religion, and more, while always keeping young people in mind. Farajii graduated from Towson University in May 2006 with a degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations and has also attended Baltimore City Community College. He was honored on the 2001 National Dean's list for his academic achievements and is a 2006 Echoing Green Fellow.
